Student commits suicide after failing 3 times in X Board Exams

A 20-year-old girl killed herself by consuming pesticides since she had failed consecutively three times in the Xth board exam. Lata, 20, daughter of Kishandas, resident of Farana Village, Rajsamand District was rushed to M.B Hospital last night in a critical condition after she was referred by Rajsamand’s R.K Hospital.

 

A 20-year-old girl killed herself by consuming pesticides since she had failed consecutively three times in the Xth board exam.

Lata, 20, daughter of Kishandas, resident of Farana Village, Rajsamand District was rushed to M.B Hospital last night in a critical condition after she was referred by Rajsamand’s R.K Hospital.

Lata was declared dead soon after being admitted to MB Hospital and her body was transferred to the mortuary for postmortem.

According to sources, Lata was very upset due to continuous failure in exams and because of that, on the night of 23rd July, when her parents were busy in some work, she consumed poison.

Lata’s father is employed with Post Office of Raj Samand. She had 3 siblings, a younger sister and two elder brothers.

The Police have registered a case to investigate further in the matter.

UT View:  Education is an essential aspect of a child’s career but not at the cost of life. Parents always wish their children to get education and become successful but shouldn’t force them or compare them with anyone else. And for students who encounter failures in life, they should always remember “Failure is never final and Success is never an End.”
