A 25-year-old woman was prevented from committing suicide at Dudh Talai Lake today by timely intervention of locals and police. Locals found the lady lying unconscious near Dudh Talai lake. After being brought back to consciousness, she revealed that she had come down to Dudh Talai for committing suicide.

The woman was distressed over her messed up relationship with her boyfriend and alleged him of physically abusing her.

The woman alleged that she was being physically assaulted by her boyfriend since last few months and was also beaten up by him yesterday night. This is what led her to thinking about taking the extreme step.

As per the information, the victim is already married and has two children from her marriage. However, she was in a live-in relationship with her boyfriend for last 8 months.

No police case has been lodged by the victim against anyone. Police counseled the woman and called her relative to take her custody.
