In support of ASI Mangilal Menaria, who was allegedly beaten by the advocates few days ago, a large number of people from Menaria community gathered outside Collectorate and demonstrated, before giving a memorandum to the Collector.

While protesting, few people from community attacked two advocates passing from the Collectorate which made the situation tense, and soon hundreds of advocates reached the place to protect their colleagues.

Both advocates and Menaria community started shouting slogans against each other. Advocates demanded action against ASI Mangilal Menaria, while on the other side, Menaria community demanded strict action against the advocates.

With the situation getting tense, additional police force was called to bring the situation under control.

According to sources, an advocate Piyush Jain was beaten by few men from Menaria community. Jain was taken to hospital for treatment. A small incident of stone pelting was also reported from the place.

Advocates on Strike Again

Advocates announced district wide strike against the thrashing of advocate Piyush Jain, by few people protesting outside Collectorate today.

Bharat Joshi, President of Bar Association, condemned the attack on Advocate Piyush Jain and demanded strict action against the accused. Bar Association presented a memorandum to S.P. and demanded the action against ASI Mangilal Menaria.
