Traffic Police Constable dies in Road Accident
The deceased 35-year-old Ganpat Singh Bhati (Belt No.864) was heading towards his duty point at Eklingpura Circle; Singh was accompanied by his colleague constable Ripudaman Singh on separate motorbike. While they reached near Madri Industrial area Bhati's bike was hit by a truck from behind that killed the constable on the spot.
A traffic police constable died on the spot today after his motorcycle was hit by a speeding truck. The accident took place at Madri Bridge area of Pratap Nagar Police Jurisdiction.
The deceased 35-year-old Ganpat Singh Bhati (Belt No.864) was heading towards his duty point at Eklingpura Circle; Singh was accompanied by his colleague constable Ripudaman Singh on separate motorbike. While they reached near Madri Industrial area Bhati’s bike was hit by a truck from behind that killed the constable on the spot.
Ripudaman Singh informed that soon after the incidence the team of Pratap Nagar police station rushed to the scene and seized the truck but the driver fled away leaving the truck on the spot.
According to the police, Constable Ganpat Singh was from Chittorgarh, he is a father of a 8 year old son and was serving the police department since 1999, moreover his father Bhavani Singh has retired from the post of an Assistant Sub Inspector.
The death news has shocked the police department of Udaipur. SP Rajendra Prasad also went to the mortuary to meet victim’s relatives.
