Two different incidents of fire occurred early today morning at Shobhagpura and Pratap Nagar areas of the city. In one of the mishaps, a car caught fire after hitting a road divider while in another incident; a restaurant caught fire due to short circuit.

According to sources, a car hit a road divider at Shobhagpura Area and caught fire while the driver was trapped inside. The incident was reported at 4:30am.

Soon after hearing the noise, local residents rushed to rescue the driver. The unidentified driver was pulled out unhurt and fire brigade was called.

In another incident which took place at 6:30am, a restaurant located near Pratapnagar caught fire due to suspected short circuit. No injuries were reported, but the fire damaged goods worth thousands of rupees.
