A couple from Udaipur who was trapped in the flood ridden Kashmir is safe now. Abhishek and his wife Bhanurpiya were staying in Kashmir’s Sri Nagar since 2^nd September.

Due to heavy downpour and flood, the couple was out of contact since last Sunday but on 9^th Sept Bhanupriya was able to contact her father and informed about their safe evacuation from the flood.

Bhanupriya informed her relatives that they have been rescued and shifted to a military camp .

As per sources, the couple was staying in a hotel at Rajbagh area, Srinagar. Dr B.L Kumar, father of Abhishek informed that when he talked to his son last, he informed that their hotel was partially submerged in water and the water reached till first floor.

Update 11-09-2014: The couple are on the way to Udaipur and expected to reach home by tonight.
