Safety Audit in Udaipur Private Schools After Local School Incident
Following the tragic incident at a Udaipur school, local private school organisation mandates a 7-day safety audit across all member schools, focusing on infrastructure and electrical safety
Udaipur, April 23, 2026 - After the recent tragic and fatal accident involving an eight year old at Udaipur’s St Anthony’s Senior Secondary School, a meeting of private school organisation committee was held in which a decision was taken that all schools will undergo a safety audit within seven days.
The meeting, held on Wednesday (April 22) at Happy Home Senior Secondary School under the chairmanship of Jitesh Shrimali, was attended by Dr Upendra, Jagdish Arora, Giridhari Lal Kumawat, Devendra Kumawat and other members.
During the meeting, members expressed their condolence over the demise of Maharthraj Singh in the unfortunate incident that occurred at the Udaipur school on April 20, 2026. President Jitesh Shrimali instructed all member schools to conduct a complete safety audit of their respective school premises within seven days. Along with this, they were directed to immediately rectify old electric poles, wiring and other technical faults.
A coordination panel was formed with the objective of ensuring a fair investigation of the incident and providing necessary guidance to the school management. A delegation will soon meet the district administration to hold detailed discussions regarding school safety arrangements and practical challenges.
