A mishap occurred at Khankhad village of Jhadol at a polling booth where unidentified accused threw a detonator at the roof of a government school last night. In this appalling action two men suffered injuries and one was hospitalized at the MB hospital.

Late night on 23rd January, unidentified accused threw a detonator on the roof of a government school where the polling booth was installed. Officials working in the room suffered injuries as the tin shade fell onto them.  Two of them were immediately given first aid while one was shifted to the MB hospital for treatment.

After receiving the news, Collector, SP, Additional SP, DySP with an Additional Force team of Reserve Police Line reached the scene and secured it from all the sides. The voting is now in continuation after the case was registered against the accused.

The recent dispute that happened day before yesterday came under suspicion of the police to be one of the reasons of this mishap. Durga Devi had filed for the candidate for Sarpanch however her nomination got canceled as she was a member of Anganwadi. She protested against this saying that she had resigned a month back.

Her supporters and officials got into an argument which according to the police is not a direct allegation but could be the reason of the occurrence of the mishap.

The police are investigating for the unidentified accused that is behind this attack.
