Heavy rains caused the wall of a house in Badgaon to collapse, resulting in the death of a two year old girl.

The incidence took place yesterday morning at around 5 o’clock when the girl Alpita Bhat was sleeping in the room. Due to heavy rains the previous night and due to the leakage of water in the wall, the structure suddenly collapsed, burying the infant under it. The girl died on the spot while her mother Maya and grandmother Shanti Devi sustained injures.

Upon getting the information of the mishap, a team of Ambamata Police Station rushed to the scene and started the rescue operation. After constant efforts, the team took out the dead body and shifted it to mortuary while other two victims were admitted to MB Hospital.
