A woman was labeled as ‘witch’ and beaten mercilessly by few men residing nearby her house. The incident took place last night at Singatwara Village near Udaipur.  The woman is admitted in MB Hospital with multiple injuries.

Mohini Devi Meena, 25, was accused of being ill-fated to the entire village and branded as a witch by Dandraj Meena and his brothers Ram Chandra, Mahendra, Motilal and Tulsiram, who forcefully entered in Mohini Devi’s house and started beating her.

According to sources, Mohini Devi’s husband Shankar Meena is a handicap and the family is financially deprived.

Soon after the incident, Mohini’s brother in law lodged a complaint at the Zawar Mines Police Station and admitted the victim to MB Hospital today morning.
