A case of death due to negligence has been registered against a senior Doctor of Udaipur Hospital yesterday.

As per the details of the FIR, a couple Dinesh Lal and his wife, residents of Kankroli, Rajsamand had come to Udaipur Hospital for the delivery of their baby, which was their first after 22 years of marriage.

The Doctors suggested a Cesarean for the delivery. The operation was successfully completed and the lady gave birth to a baby boy. Soon after the delivery, within few hours, the lady fainted and though the Doctors tried to revive her, she died after a few minutes.

The relatives of the woman got into an altercation with the staff of the hospital blaming them for a careless effort towards the operation. The matter escalated and the Police had to intervene.

The relatives subsequently registered a case of negligence against a senior doctor of the hospital at the Hathipol Police Station.

Subsequently the body of the deceased woman was shifted to the mortuary for post mortem and then handed over to her family.
