An elderly woman got multiple injuries after she fell down from the first floor of a house today morning; the cause of the incident is the fragile condition of the decades old building, in the old city area.

Bhaga Kanwar, resident of Indore was in Udaipur to attend relative’s wedding and was temporarily accommodated in a house at Bhatiyani Chohta. The house was in weak condition and also awaiting renovation.

Kanwar fell down, along with the overhung balcony and received multiple injuries on head and legs.

The house owner, Mahendra Singh said that he had got the notice from Municipal Corporation in 2010, but one of his tenants neglected the notice and even the repair work was not done yet.
