A 22-year-old young man lost his life after being hit by a truck trailer today morning at Debari’s National Highway No. 76. The accused truck driver fled, soon after the accident.

Shankarlal Gameti (in photo above), resident of Bora Magra, Dhekli was a painter by profession and going to Zinc Colony to execute an order of painting a house. According to sources, deceased Shankar was recently married and belonged to a poor family; Shankar is survived by his wife, parents and elder sister.

Mishap took place when Shankar Lal Gameti reached Debari circle on his motorbike, a truck trailer that approached from behind, hit him and the victim died on the spot.

The passersby informed police, while driver of the truck fled from the scene. Body of victim was sent to mortuary for post mortem.
