On his official tour to Udaipur today, Additional Director General of Police Navdeep Singh, had a meeting with local media and talked about security measures prior to the upcoming elections.

On his official tour to Udaipur today, Additional Director General of Police Navdeep Singh, had a meeting with local media and talked about security measures prior to the upcoming elections.

Singh informed that the election commission has made a training module for the Rajasthan police and to introduce that module amongst the department he had a meeting with all the C.I Dysps and Adsp of the division.

Navdeep said that their key motive is to maintain law and order in the state and heighten internal security by detaining all anti social element. Singh said that his next mission is to increase the moral of the police men.

“The reputation of Rajasthan police is already very good amongst the police department of other state regarding maintain law and order at the time of elections.

Talking about the how police will execute the plan, Singh said, “The first step is to point sensitive areas of the city and accordingly the force will be deployed but it will certainly come out after the manifestos of the elections will be declared and the parties will announce their representatives. Presently we are preparing on the basis of the data of 2008-09.

At the time of elections, extra force will be kept at each and every election booth.

The new initiatives of election commission introduced this year are venerable Maping and monitoring groups (flying squad) that will move in the lanes of the city and keep an eye on the illicit activities to pull voters etc.

ADGP also informed that the police department will closely work with Intelligence to tackle any violent activities.

Field officers are directed to make small teams of personnel who will be always prepared at the time of VIP duties.

Fake voting or duplicity of votes can avoided this year with help of up gradation of technologies like use cards, Cctv camera and finger prints “Purane Marz ki Nayi Dawa Agaiyi hai Market mein” he said.
