Patel is the Mahamantri of BJP (city and rural), and former chairperson of Saras Dairy,
Praising Geeta Patel’s work as a party leader, Gulab Chand Kataria, MLA said that Patel got trapped under false case of corruption and became a prey to her foes. “All the claims are false and there is no evidence of her involvement in bribery”, said Kataria.
A large crowd, mostly villagers, gathered outside the collectorate and laid dharna.
Geeta Patel was also present in the protest and expressed herself saying that she was the victim of conspiracy by Gehri Lal Dangi and his associates Sandeep lakshkaar, Sunil Suthar and Vimal Soni alias Bunti.
Patel said, “I demand strict punishment for all those who created the plot to defame my image”.
Pramod Samar BJP Regional Minister said that in the investigation all the evidences proved that Geeta Patel is innocent, and the names of accused were highlighted but they are still not arrested.
Former Vidhan Shaba president Shantilal Chaplot was also present in the demonstration.
On the other hand, Gehri Lal Dangi who was recently kicked out from BJP held a press meet and put forward his consent saying that, he was unnecessarily being blamed in Geeta Patel case, even though his name was not in the FIR.
“If she was innocent than why did she complain against me and my friend, Sandeep Lakshkar after more than a month? After all this, I am mentally harassed and in this regard, I have submitted a request to the CM Office asking for an investigation of the case so that justice can prevail” says, Dangi.
