CCTV cameras made mandatory for Vatika ownersA meeting of all the Garden/ Vatika owners of the city was held with the police department at the conference hall at Police Line today. The various problems faced by the garden owners as well as the public at time of marriage ceremony were discussed and various suggestions were made.

The meeting was headed by S.P. Hariprasad Sharma. Kalu Ram Ravat, Ad. SP-Head Quarter, Sudhir Joshi, Ad. SP, Girva, and all the Dy. SP and C.I were present in the meeting. Owners of the more than 100 gardens participated in the meeting.

Following things were discussed/finalized in the meeting:

1. Ample parking space should be made available inside the vatikas so that problems of traffic jams may be avoided. If vehicle parking is required on road outside the vatika, then they should be properly organized in a row and help of private security agencies need to be sought for the same.

2. No sound pollution should be allowed after 10 pm either via music systems or by bursting of crackers. Every garden owner has to take it in writing at the time of booking that the organizer of the wedding will not create noise pollution after 10 pm; if he does so, then the garden owner will himself inform the local police station.

3. Every garden owner has assured the police department that they will install CCTV cameras within a week. Number of private security guards will be increased by upto 30% in future.

4. Owners should also take care of the cleanliness of the gardens and vatikas as it has been observed that people leave a lot of garbage behind after their program gets over.

5. Consumption of alcohol during the ceremonies will be permitted only after taking a temporary license from excise department.

6. A notice should be pasted outside each garden or Vatika highlighting the rules and conditions of the administration.

All the Garden and Vatika owners gave their consent on the conditions specified. If anyone is found violating these conditions, they will be penalized or punished, said S.P.
