A District level control room has been formed by the department of Women and Child development to ensure control over Child Marriage cases in the upcoming days, as the festival of Akshay Tritiya is approaching.

Additional Director of Women & Child Development, Shweta Fageria informed, “As the festival of Aakha Teej is near and it witnesses maximum Child marriage events; so to stop and keep an eye on these activities, the control room has been formed.”

The control room has been established at Room No. 404 of Women & Child Development Department office.

Also, District Magistrate, Ashutosh A.T. Pednekar formed Committees on Panchayat Level to stop any Child Marriage case. The committees will keep an eye for such activities in their area.

The government employees and officials, who live in rural region, have also been ordered to look out and inform respective authority, if they witness any such event.

Sarpanch will act as the President of the committee, where Patwari, Gramsevak, Health Service workers and Beat constables are also included in the committees.
