Congress Members hold protest against government policy

The activists of the Congress party staged a protest outside the collector’s office on Friday and hand over a memorandum to the administrative officer under the banner of District Congress Committee B-block (city).

The congressmen raised their voices against the new government policy wherein an individual has to deposit an amount equivalent to the average of two months’ electricity usage. The protestors demanded to discontinue such ‘anti-people’ policy. They also emphasized the failure of government to reduce cost inflation and discontinuation of the welfare schemes that were started by the former Congress party in the state.

According to the protestors, the policies of the current government has proved to be a huge setback and broken the back of the society. During the protest, the Congress members condemned the newly implemented policy of electricity deposit and asked the government to reconsider the plan.

Besides this major problem, the activists highlighted other problems faced by the common man and asked the administration to solve them as soon as possible.
