Officer from Central Zoo Authority (CZA) of India inspected the Gulab Bagh Zoo and the Biological Park at Sajjan Garh today.

H.S Bonal, IFS Member, secretary of Central Zoo Authority, Govt of India visited both zoo and biological park and instructed zoo staffs for necessary steps to be taken.

According to Ganeshilal Gothwal, forest ranger, the officer said that the zoo of Gulab Bagh is not managed according to the norms set by central government for zoos in the country. The officer asked zoo authority to transfer all the animals to Biological Park as soon as possible.

H.S Bonal said that, the mammals should be transfered immediately, although birds could be kept for the time being. He said that mammals should be kept in pair. The officer asked zoo staff to provide details of the gender of the animals.

He instructed to strengthen security measures for zoo animals. The officer later inspected the biological park and checked the work going on.
