Elevated Road: Collector Inspects Work, Stresses on Timely Completion
Udaipur, Sept 11, 2025 - Udaipur District Collector and Nagar Nigam Administrator Namit Mehta conducted an inspection of the under-construction Elevated Road in Udaipur today, September 11. Expressing dissatisfaction over the slow pace of work, he directed the concerned agency to complete the project on time with assured quality.
Collector Mehta arrived at the Nagar Nigam Town Hall around 11:00 am, where he reviewed the project progress with Commissioner Abhishek Khanna, Superintending Engineer Mukesh Pujari and other officials. On observing that the work progress was slower than expected, he called the project manager of the executing agency, Sukhdev, for a detailed discussion.
During the meeting, the District Collector conducted a month-wise review of expected versus actual progress since the start of the project. He issued clear instructions to the executing agency to ensure that the work is completed within the stipulated timeline.
After the meeting, Collector Mehta, along with a team of officials, proceeded to the construction site for on-ground inspection. He observed the pillar construction work ongoing in front of the Nagar Nigam office and interacted with technical officials from both the Nagar Nigam and the executing agency.
The Collector stressed there should be no compromise on the quality of the work. He advised the agency officials to immediately report any administrative or governance-related issues, promising prompt resolution, but made it clear that timely completion is essential to avoid public inconvenience.
Later, Collector Mehta also reviewed the progress near Udiapol and visited the site near Delhi Gate. At Delhi Gate, he directed officials to explore possibilities to technically optimise the proposed turning point to ensure smooth traffic flow.
