Durru Miyan inspect Udaipur Medical Facility, Inaugurates Milk Bank
The Health and Family Welfare Minister Aimaduddin Ahmad Khan, famously known as Durru Miyan is on an official visit to Udaipur. During this visit he inspected the MB Hospital facility, held press conference with Udaipur Media and inaugurated the Divya Mother Milk Bank.

With regards to the problems faced by nursing staff and resident doctors of MB Hospital, Duurumiyan mentioned that he had spoken to Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya and announced that soon a financial budget will be drafted for appointment of requisite number of nursing staff and regularization of resident doctors’ salary.
In the press conference held with Udaipur media, Durru Miyan said that he is in Udaipur to review progress on three medical schemes launched by State Government, namely, the Free Medical Checkup scheme, the Shubh laxmi Scheme and the Free Medicine scheme of C.M.
Regarding the Shubh laxmi Scheme, Durru Miyan said, “Under this scheme mother of girl child are awarded with a cheque of Rs. 2,500”. Explaining the objectives behind the scheme, Durru Miyan said that the motive of Government behind this scheme is to create awareness amongst the masses to not to discriminate on the ground of sex and to reward girl child by benefiting her mother.
On the topic of Free Medical Check Scheme that was recently started by the Government, Durrumiyan said that it will benefit the people especially of the rural belt and the financially deprived of the city.
However, when a journalist posed the problem of timely distribution of medical reports, Durru Miyan said that the Scheme has started recently and in the initial stage there are issues with the administration of the scheme, but soon we will overcome these limitations as the number of counters has been increased in some hospitals, while the working hours have been increased in some others.
When the members of the press suggested the idea of online availability of reports, Durru Miyan appreciated the idea, but said that there could be some patients who not want to disclose their repots to anyone, nevertheless it can be considered.
On the same scheme, when Durru Miyan was questioned about the capabilities of staff conducting the check-ups, he mentioned that there is a list of Medical tests has been provided to various hospitals and they have to work according to that list. He went on mentioning that Medical Colleges have been provided with a list of 27 checkups, while District Hospitals and Satellite hospitals have been provided with a list of 44 specific checkups.
When asked about the outsourcing of resources for the Free Medical Check-up Scheme, Durru Miyan said that outsourcing is only an exception not a rule, it is an alternate available so that the patients do not suffer, out sourcing should be done only in emergency conditions.
Before concluding the press conference, Durru Miyan said that the major problem in front of them is the availability of doctors and other staff, yet overall the efforts are satisfactory.
Official Inauguration of Mother Milk Bank
During his visit Durru Miyan also officially inaugurated the Divya Mother Milk Bank situated at the MB hospital. He visited facility and inspected the machines and equipments inside the Milk bank. He appreciated the commendable efforts put in this important issue
