The e-detection system to be used in Rajasthan will be based on the model used in Odisha and Chhattisgarh
April 9, 2025 - The Rajasthan Transport Department is about to start enforcement actions against erring vehicles through the e-detection system. Vehicles with incomplete fitness certificates, insurance, permit or other documents will come under the scanner unlike earlier when one could avoid detection by the RTO flying squads on the road.
The department is promoting electronic enforcement to take action against vehicles violating the rules under the Motor Vehicles Act. Under this system incomplete documentation will invite a fine imposed online, and the defaulter will receive a notification on their mobile.
Fines for incomplete documents
The e-detection system to be used in Rajasthan will be based on the model used in Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
How it will work
In this new e-detection system, information will be collected from all the toll plazas of NHAI located in the State for vehicles passing through them. This information will be cross-checked with the validity of the documents available on the departmental portal and action will be taken for violations of the rules.
