Key decisions were taken in UDA meeting including designating green buffer zones to protect city lakes and master plan for eco-tourism hubs
Udaipur, June 21, 2025 - Plans are underway for the construction of an elevated road from Debari to Pratap Nagar Chauraha, along with the re-engineering of the Balicha T-junction. These proposals were discussed during the general assembly meeting of the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) held on June 20 during which several key decisions were taken.
It was decided that UDA will soon initiate new projects on lands under its jurisdiction, aligned with the Master Plan and Zonal Development Plan. Plans are afoot to implement the government-issued Building Regulations 2025 within the jurisdiction of the UDA.
Additionally, buffer zones in the form of green belts will be designated around lakes, ponds and reservoirs located in the newly-included villages under UDA jurisdiction to ensure their conservation. These include Lakhawali, Chhota Madar, Bada Madar, Badi Talab, Bhatewar Talab, Alsigarh, Nandeshwar, Vallabhnagar Talab apart from other reservoirs in and around the city.
Additionally, a master plan will be prepared to develop Ramgiri Hill and Badgaon as oxygen hubs and tourist destinations.
The meeting was held at the UDA auditorium under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevlramani with District Collector Namit Mehta in attendance. UDA Commissioner Rahul Jain presented the minutes of the previous meeting and led the agenda discussion. Also present were UDA Secretary Hemendra Nagar, Special Officer Jitendra Ojha, Additional Chief Engineer Sanjeev Sharma and PWD’s Ashok Kumar Sharma.
