Road Safety Week, a 7 day public awareness campaign had been started under the joint association of various administrative bodies of the city.

Beginning today, the Traffic Police will be very strict with Traffic rule breakers and two wheeler drivers not wearing Helmets. 

“Safety is Not Just a Slogan but a Way of Living” is the Rally Slogan being propagated across town, during the Road Safety Week.  Beginning with a Road Safety Rally today, the week will witness many social programs and events towards educating the public on road safety.  E-Challans will also be issued to rule breakers.

The Vehicle Rally began today morning at 10 from the Udiapol Police Station.  Among the various programs during the week, there will be a Public Awareness exhibition at the Information Centre (Mota Park, Chetak).  An Awareness session was also demonstrated for Children from various schools.

Other Road Safety and awareness tasks will include yellow lines, posters and Sign Posts on display on the major cross roads, traffic signals and roundabouts in the city and at other places in Udaipur District, Tourist Spots and on Highways.
