This year’s monsoon are proving worse for Udaipur’s Mines & Geology department’s office situated at Court Circle, as the water is leaking from the ceiling of rooms.

Last night, number of electronics, including printers, computers etc. got affected due to the leaking water. Not only the gadgets and appliances, but important records relating to mining field were affected by it. But due of the activeness of the staff, these were shifted to some other place and saved from complete ruin, said an employee of the department.

However, such leakage ceiling of a Government department points towards the quality of construction and maintenance work done by the Public Works Department of the city, employees said.

It is a matter of concern for the city’s administration to take care of the repairing of buildings of various Government departments so that these types of incidence can be avoided in future.
