Where at one side the education department is claiming to connect every child with education under their scheme with ‘Right to Education’, on other side one of the school situated at Gayriavass area of Udaipur is projecting a different story, contrary to all the claims of education department.

The Government School at Gayriyavas is situated in the same rented building since 1987 and the school is in its worse condition. “If department will not give any emphasis on the renovation of the school building, the results can be disastrous,” as quoted by students.

“The condition is so poor that plaster keeps falling from the walls of classrooms and in rainy days the water leaks from the ceiling.”

“Not only are the students, but teachers also worried about the condition of school. But it seems that the respective department is not concerned towards the safety of the students as well as the teaching staff,” said Ranjana Joshi, Teacher.

“The Teaching Staff has intimated the department about the bad conditions of the school a number of times, but no action was taken by them. Moreover the budget for construction of the building has been already passed and UIT is also ready to allot land for the school building. But why the department is not taking any step for the school is a matter of concern,” Ranjana Said.
