Govt Schools in Udaipur to Get a Diwali Makeover
Funds will be used for thorough cleaning of school classrooms, toilets, drinking water facilities and necessary lighting arrangements
UdaipurTimes, Nov 6, 2026 - In view of Diwali, extensive cleanliness drives and proper lighting arrangements will be ensured in all government schools and offices across Udaipur district to create a clean, safe and healthy environment.
Kunwar Bihari Bhardwaj, Additional District Project Coordinator (Samagra Shiksha), Udaipur, has instructed all block-level officials and heads of institutions to make proper arrangements in this regard, in compliance with directions issued by the State Project Director and Commissioner of the Rajasthan School Education Council.
Bhardwaj informed that the Council's office has already issued financial withdrawal approvals for the Composite School Grant under Samagra Shiksha and the Annual School Grant under the PM SHRI Scheme. The allocated budget will be utilised in accordance with the prescribed guidelines and financial rules, based on student enrolment in each school.
The funds will be used for thorough cleaning of school classrooms, toilets, drinking water facilities and surrounding premises. Necessary lighting arrangements will also be made wherever required.
Bhardwaj clarified that timely and effective utilisation of the allocated budget is mandatory under this special Diwali cleanliness campaign. All heads of institutions have been directed to ensure regular cleanliness and maintain school premises in a clean and well-lit condition.
