The members and workers of Hindu Jagruti Manch protested in front of Nagar Nigam, UIT and District Collector against the encroachment of temples and prayer points carried out by the administration which is hampering the religious community and its sentiments.
The members and workers of Hindu Jagruti Manch protested in front of Nagar Nigam, UIT and District Collector against the encroachment of temples and prayer points carried out by the administration which is hampering the religious community and its sentiments.
The workers shouted slogans against the encroachers who removed the temples and prayer points that is hampering the religious sentiments of the Hindu community. The workers met Keerti Rathore, OSD of Nagar Nigam, Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari, Deputy Mayor Lokesh Dwivedi and Collector. They presented a memorandum to the officials concerning their issues and appealed to halt the actions in future.
Deputy Mayor Lokesh Dwivedi said that the encroachments are not directed to any particular community. The establishments or prayer spots built are creating hurdle in the road network and so to embark smooth traffic, the actions are taken.
He further added that the establishments are removed and placed somewhere safe, not blocking the road traffic. He requested the members to not to consider the actions as religious biased, instead help the administration by listing the places which requires encroachments.
The team reached Collectorate office and presented the memorandum concerning their demands and portrayed their angst towards the recent encroachment labeling it to be a harsh step against the Hindu community.
