Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria in the ceremony organized at Nagar Nigam praised the work of former collector and commended him for bringing positive changes in the city in terms of development and cleanliness.
Kataria said, “We are praising your work, not just you.”
On this occasion, Ashutosh Pednekar expressed his feelings towards the city and said, “People of Udaipur are very humble due to which the administration always got support from them in completion of any project. I have immense respect and love for the people of Udaipur.”
He added, “I will always remember this city.”
Pednekar not only thanked the people but also the Home Minister for showing faith on him and appreciating his work. He did not take all the credit of the work but emphasized that it was a team work of all the subordinates who played their roles actively with him.
Newly appointed collector Rohit Gupta addressed the gathering saying that he feels honored to work in the beautiful city Udaipur, well known as City of Lakes in the world. He said that it was his second chance of working in Mewar after serving as collector of Pratapgarh.
Gupta showed respect to now former collector Ashutosh saying that it was an honor for him to receive the post from him as he had previously worked under Ashutosh Pednekar when he was the collector of Ganganagar.
Kataria specially mentioned that CM Vasundhara Raje feels envious of Udaipur as it is the most beautiful city of the state and always remains clean and green. She also praises the work of ex-collector Ashutosh.
Towards the end, all the corporators and officials congratulated the new collector and gave best wishes to Ashutosh A.T Pednekar.
Ram Niwas Mehta- Secretary UIT, Himmat Singh Barhat- Commissioner Nagar Nigam, AdSP Dr. Rajesh Bhardwaj were also present at the ceremony at Nagar Nigam.
