After a day full of havoc among common citizens of Udaipur who’d faced problems due to the weird protest by sweepers association who spread garbage in every main areas of the city, the UMC Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari and local corporators cleaned the scattered garbage.

The Mayor also vowed to take strict action against those involved in the protest which ashamed Udaipur which is known for its beauty.

“The cleaning staff members, garbage truck drivers and others are identified and we will take strict action against them, an FIR is also lodged against some miscreants ” said Kothari.

Many local corporators under the direction of Mayor cleaned the scattered garbage from many places and tried to make the situation under control.

The sweeping staff of UMC is on strike today in order to express their protest on the death of a female colleague who died on 4^th Jan during job. The staff association demanded compensation, job to the next kin of deceased and taking off bio metric machines for attendance.

“UMC has sanctioned Rs.6.6 Lakhs as compensation for the nearest family members of deceased woman and an appointment letter for one of the relatives of victim is also prepared and the person will get the job soon, informed Mayor Kothari.”

The protest today has become the talk of the town as large number of people objected on such protest and expressed their views on social media.
