In what could be said an act of alleged negligence, patients admitted in the Nephrology Ward of MB Hospital faced serious problems when water from the tank started leaking and spread all over the ward.

Ankle length water filled in the four wards of Nephrology and the whole gallery. It took around 8 hours for the hospital staff to drain the water and re-establish services.

According to the information provided by the hospital administration, someone had left the water pump on and the tank placed on the terrace overflowed. Due to the ongoing construction work, the water started flowing through the walls and reached wards no. A, B and C of Nephrology.

Dr. D.P Singh, superintendent of hospital said that situation is now under control and water is drained. “I have called engineers of PWD to check the reason of water reaching inside the ward.”
