After three days of the communal clash which snatched the harmony of the city, today the affected areas under Ambamata Police Station are reported to be completely peaceful and under control.

Till now, 40 people are arrested for their involvement in rioting. 12 people were detained under section 151 CRPC and 28 were arrested for assault.

Two accused detained yesterday under section 307 IPC were send to judicial custody, two were taken on remand and two others were released on bail.

Additional S.P. Tejraj Singh told UT that the condition is absolutely peaceful and the area of Mulla Talai is getting back to normal. However, Section 144 is still enforced in the area.
