Members of the Muslim Mahasabha, Rajasthan staged a protest demonstration outside the Excise Department Office at Udaipur today.

Irfan Multani, President of the Muslim Mahasabha Rajasthan led the demonstration, which was accompanied by the members handing over a Memorandum to the Commissioner, Excise Department, demanding that the auspicious day of Eid Milad Un Nabi be declared a Dry Day.

The Memorandum states that even after their earlier request for declaring the day as Dry Day each year, no positive step has been taken in the direction. It was also noted that the government had declared a Dry Day on the same occasion last year across the State, but no such announcement was made for this year.
