The new S.P of Udaipur District Ajaypal Singh Lamba addressed a formal press conference and shared his views on the city’s law and order. Lamba emphasized on several key factors which need to be implemented quickly and effectively.

His first point was to create safe and secure environment in the city and to reform the police administration in such a way that a common citizen should not hesitate in approaching police.

“Friendly policing is necessary for citizens to make them feel comfortable whenever they visit any police station of the city” said Lamba. He said that new guidelines will be provided to every police official which includes counseling of cases on police station level, behaving with people who approach them etc.

He told media, “My motive is ‘Quick Disposal of Cases’ which can be achieved only by friendly policing so the complainant should not get trapped in prolong legal actions and court cases.”

Speaking on reducing the crime rates, Ajaypal Singh Lamba said, ” Strict actions will be taken against suspects involved in organized crimes in the city. All black sheeps in any department will face legal actions.”

Talking about traffic regulations, Lamba said, “We don’t want traffic cops to make just chalans but to direct the first time offender in a right way and if any citizen is caught arguing with traffic police then he will face action.

35-year-old Lamba is believed to be one of the youngest Police S.P Udaipur District had. He has also put forth his notion on improving citizen liaison committee, cyber cell, better coordination between police and press and motivation to police officials.

Lamba took the meeting of all police stations’ head and learned the common crimes occurrences in each police station areas.
