Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to interact with students all over the country on the eve of Teacher’s Day. Following this, preparations in Udaipur’s government schools (Primary and Upper Primary) have also started.
The program will be taken care by Ministry of Human Resource and every school has to arrange television set as Mr. Modi is going to interact with students for a period of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Most of the children are excited to witness the occasion. However, the biggest challenge is for schools which are located in remote locations where electricity is scarce or completely missing.
“Most of the primary schools of district are running without electricity. 50 out of 2454 primary schools have electricity facility while 40-50% of upper primary schools have electricity supply,” said Sher Singh Chouhan, President of Panchayati Raj Shiskshak Sangh.
“Many of the schools are located in such remote areas which are not connected with proper road,” added Singh.
Another difficulty in front of teachers is to take television sets on rent in their limited budget. One of the teachers Shobha Ranawat said, “These days old TV sets are replaced by LEDs and projectors for which we have to pay big rent.”
The live telecast of Narendra Modi will be also broadcast on radio which is the last option for schools which cannot arrange television sets and generator.
