Ambassador of Nepal, Krishna Prasad Dhakal is on a two day visit to Udaipur. He arrived today with his family and was accompanied by Vishnu Prasad Lamsal, Economic Minister of Nepal.

Ambassador of Nepal, Krishna Prasad Dhakal is on a two day visit to Udaipur. He arrived today with his family and was accompanied by Vishnu Prasad Lamsal, Economic Minister of Nepal.

This is the Ambassadors first tour of an Indian city after his appointment as Ambassador to India.  Post his two day stay in the city, he will visit Goa to understand the tourism in the city and adopt new innovations in tourism.

As per the Ambassador, 28% of Nepal tourism is accounted for by visitors from India.  In his talk with the media, he further said that his motive is to firstly encourage more tourism to Nepal and also develop healthier relations with India. He said that the key motive of their visit is to invite investment to their country in relation to the development of tourism.

Tomorrow a seminar will be organized by his team at Trident in which all industrialists and hoteliers are invited.  In this seminar a discussion will be held on different aspects of development of tourism & also to develop the infrastructure of tourism in Nepal, said the Ambassador.

Ashutosh Pednekar, District Collector said that soon they will be provided the details of the development activities carried out in recent days at Udaipur as requested by the Nepali team and also said that in the initial conversation they have offered the Nepal officials to develop a sister city relationship between Udaipur and Pukhra in Nepal as apart from a plethora of lakes, many other things are also common between them.

Pednekar also added that if they accept the offer then it will help in the exchange of culture and art between the two places.  More over, the Ambassador also opined that they be invited in each & every cultural program that takes place in Udaipur so that their artists can participate in our programs.  This exchange of culture and art will definitely benefit the two countries in many ways.
