New I.G. Amrit Kalash takes charge
IPS officer, Amrit Kalash has taken the charge of Inspector General of Police, Udaipur region. The new I.G was welcomed by the police department of Udaipur today. Kalash has served I.G. Kota before getting transferred to Udaipur.

In a short meeting with local press and media, Amrit Kalash talked on the various issues, priorities and work strategy. He said that he will give precedence to stop all organized crimes from the city including human trafficking, smuggling of illegal liquor etc.
I.G. Kalash also shared that he started his career from Udaipur as a Dy SP on Probation.
He informed as Udaipur is a tribal area therefore equal emphasis will be given to the rural areas of the district as the problems of land mafias is increasing. “Another major problem of the tribal areas is ‘Moutana’ which has to be stopped” said I.G.
Kalash told journalists that he will make a framework to impede crimes against women and children in the city. Operation against Drunk and Drive will also start to minimize the cases of accidents.
Talking about the mismanaged city traffic, Amrit Kalash said that he will first take an inner view of the lanes and streets of the city, and will call a meeting of his subordinates to make proper strategy to cope up with the problem of traffic.
Pointing out on tourist’s safety, Kalash said, “a special emphasis will be put on the safety of tourists in the city and every possible effort will be taken to ensure their security”.
Amrit Kalash also remained S.P. at Rajsamand, he started his career in 1994.
