No stone is being left unturned by Police department to provide all security measures and to control the law and order situation during the Independence Day Celebrations at Gandhi ground.

The final measures were checked today by Director General of Police, Omendra Bhardwaj, who arrived this morning in Udaipur and visited Gandhi ground along with ADG RAC Rajeev Dasot, ADG crime Navdeep Singh & S.P Ajaypal Lamba.

D.G Bhardwaj inspected the final rehearsal of all programs after which the practices were put on hold and the ground handed over to Police department.

Inspector General of Police, Govind Narayan Purohit informed that since many VIPs, including Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, will be attending the I-Day functions, strict security measures have been put in place under the supervision of District Superintendent of Police Ajaypal Singh Lamba.

Purohit informed that teams including 7 Additional Superintendents, 21 Deputy Superintendents, 20 Circle Inspectors, 50 Sub Inspectors & Assistant Sub Inspectors and 700 Head Constables and Constables, including female cops, have been deployed.

Besides, Ad.SP (ACB) Brijesh Soni along with a team of 150 cops will be deployed to tackle traffic situation of the city on 15th August.

Various companies like RAC, Hadirani Battallion, Nareli Group of Ajmer, MBC Kherwada will be kept in reserve for any emergency situation, informed Purohit.
