In the series of steps taken by police department to uproot crime from the city, the Superintendent of Police has introduced the concept of – ‘Watch Towers’ like other big cities of the country.

‘Watch Towers’ are the Metal platforms attached to a pole having a seating space for three people on it.

The idea of these metal watch towers is introduced by S.P Mahesh Goyal  with a view to control the crime and to make the police availability visible on the roads while giving police officials a better one-view over the happening on the busy road.

S.P.Goyal informed that, three of such towers has been installed at different areas of  the city including one at Fatah sagar, and two other at SurajpolChauraha and Udiapol Bus stand. “Soon,one more tower will be installed onChetak Circle”, quotes SP.

Police officials will keep an eye on the activity on the road, and people passing by in the areas and also to track the suspects, said Mahesh Goyal.
