On the eve of International Mother Language Day, activists staged a protest outside the collectorate on 21st February following their demand of inclusion of Rajasthani Language in the 8th schedule of the Indian Constitution.

The annoyed activists gathered outside the collector’s office agitated towards the delay in their demand for the Rajasthani language to be included in the constitution. They shouted slogans against the government and also handed over a memorandum to the administrative officers in the name of PM stating their demands.

The memorandum was given under the banner of Rajasthan Motiyar Parishad, informed Tanveer Singh Krishnawat, one of the members.

A state wide protest is going on and as a part in Udaipur, the members of RMP have held the protest and plead to the PM to include the Rajasthani Language in the 8th schedule, said Tanveer Singh.

He also appealed that every individual, be it politician or administrative official should join in the efforts and help achieve the goal.

Singh also claimed that the other members of the RMP were sad as on the eve of International Mother Language Day, they were not allowed to install a tent outside the collector’s office even after receiving a prior permission for it.
