Following the arrest of the divisional railway officer Harphool Singh Choudhary after the case of misbehaving and assault lodged against him by a police constable and his wife, hundreds of railway employees protested today against police action.

Following the arrest of the divisional railway officer Harphool Singh Choudhary after the case of misbehaving and assault lodged against him by a police constable and his wife, hundreds of railway employees protested today against police action.

Harphool Singh was arrested yesterday and later released on bail. The case was registered against him by a police constable Rajesh Mehta and his wife after the scuffle occurred between both Singh and Mehta on May 24th.

Singh who was on duty at Udaipur Railway Station had stopped Mehta and his wife for not taking platform ticket and tried to penalize them but an argument occurred between both of them.

Case was lodged by both Mehta and Singh against each other, but yesterday police arrested Singh from his residence.

Getting the information of his arrest, Mahendra Singh Yadav City Station Superintendent reached at the GRPF police station.

The working committee of North Western railway union and vice president of All India station master Association, Sharad Choudhary blamed the administration for one sided action on the case, where as the secretary of the Association Arun Gupta has demanded that the department should arrange safety measures for all the employees of including T.T & T.C.

Naresh Salecha, Member of Association of Railway Management, Ajmer informed that a drive has been started by Ajmer association against the defaulters who are found without platform ticket at railway stations and the police man of Surajpol police was nabbed without ticket. In the scuffle the railway officer Harphool was injured, the investigation of the matter is going on .
