Seeing the growing level of waters in lakes, state transport office has generated strict notice to all tourist boating companies to follow the safety instructions or their license will be seized.

The instructions are made to make them stringent towards safety precautions while ferrying tourists, said Jeetendra Singh, transport officer. If the boating companies allow any passenger without life jackets then their license will be seized instantly, said Singh.

O. P Bairwa, DTO said, Life jackets should be clean and in good condition, there should be extra safety precautions like additional rescue boat, coordination with control room through wireless phones and each boat number should be written clearly in block letters.
