eChallan: Wrong Penalties on Disputed e-Challans Can Be Rectified

Udaipur, Sept 10, 2025: Udaipur RTO Gyandev Vishwakarma informed that commuters can raise a complain on the e-Challan website, If a wrong challan has been charged on their vehicle through the e-detection at the toll nakas of the National Highway.
As per the system implemented by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, automatic challans are being generated through e-detection if the vehicle documents are found incomplete at the toll-booths across the National Highway. It has been brought to the notice of the department by some vehicle owners that e-challans are being made even when the documents of their vehicles are completely correct and valid.
Vishkwakarma informed that such vehicle owners, who find that a wrong challan has been made through e-detection, can log in to the e-challan website https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in/gsticket and register their complaint from the complaint option available in the menu. In this option, there is a provision to enter the name of the complainant, mobile number, challan number etc. as well as a provision to upload the relevant documents. On registering the complaint, the complainant will receive a complaint number through which he can also know the status of his complaint.
Vishwakarta told that apart from this, complaints can also be lodged by sending an email on transport.edetection@rajasthan.gov.in. After receiving/registering the complaint, the Transport Department will investigate the complaint and dispose it off appropriately as per the rules.
