State to restart Tele Medicine Project at MB Hospital

The people of Udaipur can heave a sigh of relief as the state government is soon to restart the Tele Medicine Project at Maharana Bhopal Hospital. Moreover, the hospital administration is being asked to enlist the equipment available in relation to the project.

With an aim to facilitate the patients to receive online verification of their medical examination reports by the experts of various departments and also to get advices relating to their problems, the state government had launched its Tele Medicine Project in Udaipur’s hospital in 2008.

A highly sophisticated and equipped wing was also made for the same within the hospital premises near the neurology ward. The project continued at the hospital for almost 1.5 years but due to some technical problems it discontinued and the Tele Medicine wing locked then. But now, the government has decided to re-launch its project to benefit people and started working on it.

The administration of Ravindra Nath Tagore Medical College was also asked to let the government know about the equipment, space and paraphernalia they require to start the project.

While talking about the re launch of the Tele Medicine project Dr. Shalabh Sharma, Additional Principal of RNT medical college said that the government has asked to give a proposal regarding the project and based on the instructions they will commence the project soon.
