Public Hearing was done by Rajasthan State Women Commission Chairperson, Lad Kumari Jain at Circuit House at 5 in the evening today. The first case was of sexual abuse and was raised by a woman resident of Balicha.

The woman is a widow and accused his husband’s friend for allegedly raping her on 24^th November 2012 but claimed that no action has been taken yet; instead, she said that she was being pressurized for compromising with the accused.

Another woman former employee of Aganbadi accused CDPO Rajiv Kumar and her supervisor of firing her from job when she refused to give commission. The woman also accused Shweta Fagadia officer of Women and Child Development for conspiring against her. She also lodged complaint at Hathipol police station but no action has been taken.

Fagadia who was present there rejected all the allegations and said that they have no personal enmity and that they have fired several people including her.

Lad Kumari Jain said, “The woman accusing officers could not give her any document in her favour yet. If she would provide any documents, I will forward it to the senior officials”. Jain also said, “I will appoint an officer to investigate her case”.

Many other cases of crime against women came in front of Lad Kumari Jain who took every case seriously and instructed higher officials to act accordingly.

She also talked about “ZERO FIR” which is not into practice these days in which police has to take the case under their charges immediately and later transfer it to the respected police station.

Fast Track court should be introduced at district level so that the cases of women should be taken fast and appropriately. Lad Kumari Jain also talked about remuneration of Rs.25000 to rape victim should be handed over immediately to the victim.

While talking to the media, Jain also spoke about rehabilitation camp for woman and assured to forward this with other proposals to Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
