Taking things into hands, localites of Sutharwada blocked the main road from one side today morning. Prolonged pending work of RSEB department made residents protest for more than two-hours.

As per a local resident, Babulal Mali informed that RSEB department dug the main road for laying cables on 22nd December. Promising to repair the road soon, nobody from the department or even the contractor returned since.

Localites had requested the related officers again and again, as the road had become an issue for locals and also become prone to accidents, he added.

Today morning, residents blocked the road from one end and after the intervention of police and area’s corporator, Siddharth Sharma, RSEB officials came on the spot and promised to get things done in coming days, as informed by Siddharth Sharma.

Siddharth Sharma further added that, if RSEB won’t repair the road soon, a memorandum will be handed over to the collector for the same.
