District Superintendent of Police Ajaypal Lamba issued orders to take strict action against eve teasers and those who perform stunts on bike at public places. Lamba held a crime meeting on 19^th April with all Ad.S.P, Dy.S.P and SHO of the city.

Lamba directed the SHOs to resolve all the issues in police station and no complainant should approach him personally. Reacting on the boosting trade of arms and liquor, he said, “Harsh action will be taken against people involved in such illegal businesses in the city.”

“Eve teasing around educational institutes and motorcycle stunts in public places must be stopped. For that, regular patrolling will start again,” said Ajaypal Lamba.

S.P also praised his subordinates for controlling law and order at the time of elections. He directed officials to arrest all wanted criminals as soon as possible.

Special police force will be deployed in those areas where incidents of assault and fights are often reported.

The meeting was conducted at Police Line auditorium.
