After utilizing the capability of micro drone in capturing historical locations for further preservation, the Udaipur administration has now decided to use the technology for controlling traffic conditions and preventing crimes.

The decision came along after a high level meeting of administrative and police officers of the city, conducted under the direction of district collector Ashutosh Pednekar.

According to the collector, “The traffic police department will appoint two officers who will be trained to control the micro drone. The primary objective will be to scrutinize traffic conditions of main areas and old city localities including tourist spots.”

Collector also added that the drone can be useful in tracking encroachments in the city and will also play an important role in minimizing incidences of Bag Snatching and other crimes.
