With a view to promote tourism in Udaipur, a project of Train Safari Ride has been proposed by the administration which is sent to the government for its approval.

With a view to promote tourism in Udaipur, a project of Train Safari Ride has been proposed by the administration which is sent to the government for its approval.

District Collector, Ashutosh Pednekar informed that the Train Safari will be available for the tourists starting from Mavli Junction to Ajmer city for all 7 days a week. The train will be covering major forest areas between these places such as Kamli Ghat, Goram Ghat, Phuled and Pavli area.  Bhavasaar Talaab, Guari Dham, Rapda Talaab and beautiful temples that will come in way like Jog Mardi Mahadev, Dudhleshwar Mahadev and Mangat ji ka Mandir will also be included in the ride.

Besides the forests, temples and water bodies, tourists will be able to enjoy the sights of rare species of wild animals including Langur, Wild Boar, Jungle Fox, Wild Cat, Hyenas, Wolves and Fishing Cats etc.

The specific train line has been started since 1935 but now, it will be developed as Train Safari. According to the records, around 25,000 passengers used to travel through this line per year. Before the commencement of the Train Safari Ride, several railway stopovers will be repaired and improved, said Collector.
