Udaipur all set for State Assembly Election 2013

The whole administrative body of Udaipur District is prepared for the upcoming State Assembly Elections on 1st Dec 2013. From installing Election Voting Machines to the appointment of election officials and security measures, the administration is tight belt for this most important political event.

The whole administrative body of Udaipur District is prepared for the upcoming State Assembly Elections on 1st Dec 2013. From installing Election Voting Machines to the appointment of election officials and security measures, the administration is tight belt for this most important political event.

Voting will be done of 8 assembly seats all over Udaipur district including Udaipur City, Udaipur Rural, Gogunda, Kherwada, Mavli, Vallabhnagar, Salumber and Jhadol.

There will be 2026 polling booth in the district and each booth will have one EV Machine. There are 510 EV Machines kept as reserve for any technical glitch.

Udaipur City will have 218 polling booths while Udaipur Rural will have 231 booths for voting. Other assembly seats like Gogunda (256), Jhadol (257), Kherwada (291), Mavli (236), Vallabhnagar (236) and Salumber (270) polling booths will be installed for voting.

Every assembly seat will be controlled and managed by a magistrate appointed for each seat. However two magistrates are appointed for Jhadol, Kherwada and Dhariyawad areas.

There are 211 sector officers appointed who will work under magistrates while 10 ROs will work under sector officers. Other than this, 8 teams of inspectors will do video graphing while other 8 teams are appointed for patrolling. Additional investigating and vigilance teams are also appointed.

11400 government employees will assist the election process in different polling booths across the district. All employees will cast their votes through filling a special form and courier it through postal service. Postal department will transport those votes to the concerned RO.
